The GemOro 1030 Elite LED Microscope is an advanced microscope perfect for jewelers, universities, and gemological programs. With 10X & 30X magnification capabilities, this microscope has precision optics and superior LED lighting.The microscope has a 360° rotatable head. The gem clip is designed to for easily viewing gemstones and diamonds.

There are 3-positions for daylight LED lighting: Base, Overhead, and Adjustable Gooseneck Spot LED. The microscope is powered by two AA batteries or the included AC adapter. Three kinds of microscope slides are included: black, white, and frosted. A dust cover is provided for protection and storage. The microscope has a one year limited warranty.

Rechargeable Batteries:

Caution: ONLY USE 1.2v NiMH AA batteries. Any other types of batteries have the potential to burst, causing personal injury to yourself and the microscope.

Maintenance & Storage:

To clean the lenses and keep them free of dust and dirt, use a lint-free cotton or microfiber cloth.

Don't touch the lenses with your fingers.

Put the dust cover over your microscope when it's not being used.

How to Use

1. Loosen the tension locking screw on the side of the microscope head. Rotate the head to the desired position so, that the eyepieces are facing you.

2. Remove the round black Objective Cover that is over the Objective at the bottom of the microscope head.

3. Turn on the power switch and rotate the 4 Position Light Switch Knob to the desired light setting.

4. On the left side of the microscope base, rotate the Rheostat Light Dimmer to the desired light intensity.

5. Place the gemstone/diamond in the Gem Clip and position the end of the tweezers in the center above the Dark Field Condenser or plate.

6. Position the Gooseneck Spot LED Light so, that it shines on the item being viewed.

7. While placing your eyes over the eyepieces, adjust the interpupillary distance width adjustment to the width of your eyes for clear observation.

8. Turn the Coarse Focusing Knobs with both hands to raise or lower the microscope head until the gemstone/diamond comes into focus.

9. Turn the Fine Focusing Diopter Adjustment Ring until the gemstone/diamond comes perfectly into focus.

10. Rotate the 1X & 3X Objective to change the power to either 10X or 30X.

11. If using the Dark Field Condenser, hold it steady and rotate the Iris Diaphragm Arm to adjust the Iris Diaphragm as desired.
