About Synthetic Diamonds:

Synthetic colorless diamonds are typically Type IIa diamonds. Also known as lab grown, man-made, created, or cultured, these diamonds are typically created from chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high pressure high temperature (HPHT) synthesis. Some CVC diamonds have undergone HPHT treatment to change its color. The Synthetic Diamond Screener II by Presidium identifies stones as natural diamonds or Type IIa synthetics.

How to Use

Two color-coded indicator light bars give clear results of natural diamond (blue light) and Type IIA synthetic diamond (red light). Test probe has blue illumination for clear viewing of test pad. Test probe can be raised for successive testing on loose stones, or holds mounted stones. Features auto-alert function when stone is not properly placed on test pad. Tests diamonds not more than 6mm in height, and any cut with at least one flat surface.

210 grams weight without batteries. Comes with a protective carrying case. Warms up in 4 seconds. Test results in 2 seconds. Battery saving auto shut-down in 10 minutes. Typical battery life lasts 2,400 tests.
